Queens Chronicle: Fewer kids homeless in Queens schools

“Fewer Queens students have experienced homelessness than in other parts of the city, but pockets of the borough still have a high rate of pupils without permanent residences, according to a new report.

The Institute for Children, Poverty and Homelessness said one in eight children in city public schools have experienced homelessness within the past five years. The report used data from the 2014-15 school year.”
